This module provides the learner with the knowledge and skills to implement a “Safe to Approach” inspection and test procedure to high voltage electrical apparatus

This module can be used for both initial and refresher training

Upon successful completion, a Certificate of Completion will be awarded for Safe to approach SWER.

The electrical supply industry (ESI) requires a minimum standard of qualifications and competency/refresher training for field personnel working on or near distribution and transmission networks.

Due to the high risks involved, the electrical supply industry (ESI) requires Safe to approach SWER training to be refreshed every 3 years.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

Training Locations

Our training includes a mix of hands-on practice, demonstrations, and guided theory sessions giving you the required skills and knowledge for roles within the arboriculture industry.

Training is held at our Head Office in Hallam. It is a bright, comfortable space set up for learning and discussion. You’ll find plenty of seating, a projector for presentations, and individual workbooks so you can follow along with the trainer. The layout makes it easy to see, hear, and take part, whether it’s a group discussion or note-taking.
