We deliver this course through one day of Theory and one day of hands on Practical

Unit Description

Develop the skills and knowledge required to operate a mobile chipping or mulching unit to chip or mulch timber refuse such as branches and other timber waste left after felling operations. Work is often completed in a forest or forest farm setting.

This course applies to operate a mobile chipping or mulching unit in a forest environment.

Operate a mobile chipper/mulcher will provide you with access to our e-learning portal.

You can complete your theory anytime anywhere. You don't have to sit in a classroom!

You will be able to access our Trainers and Assessors through the e-learning portal.

We offer LLN support to help guide you through your learning journey with us. 

Once you have finished your theory you will automatically sent a notification of the Practical Day training location. 

Practical Location

Our Trainers and Assessors take you hands on out into the field to apply your knowledge and form your skills in operating a mobile chipper/mulcher.
