Delivery includes 2-3 consecutive days per month so that you can easily plan your attendance.

Workplace Based Training
This is a terrific spin on the traditional apprenticeship delivery for Medium to Large Organisations who would like to train five (5) or more employees in AHC30820 Certificate III in Arboriculture.
Climbing Delivery
The climbing elective stream includes one intensive week with our trainers to deliver the practical sklls formation.
Students will receive a logbook to record their climbing hours under supervision and will have a final competency practical observation booked in with the trainer when they are ready to complete their final assessment.

What is recognition of prior learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process through which non-formal learning and informal learning are measured, mediated for recognition across different contexts, and certified against the requirements for credit, access, inclusion or advancement in the formal education and training system, or workplace.

What is a credit transfer RTO?
What is a credit transfer? A credit transfer is when a student has previously completed study and wishes to receive recognition for the previous study they have completed.
This usually entails a Statement of Attainment that has been certified by a JP to verify the Award. The Unit code and Name needs to be equivalent or may be equivalent and superseded to be applied.
What is Recognition of Current Competencies?
Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) is an assessment process that enables people to gain formal qualifications for the skills and knowledge they already have. The process includes an assessment of evidence supplied by the candidate against the outcomes of the relevant unit standard(s).

This is a refined process using a combination of using methods to minimise the course content reducing the volume of learning.

AHC30820 Certificate III in Arboriculture
Climbing specialist
The following units of competency and modules have been selected to aid you in starting your career as an Climbing Arborist Cutting performing tree maintenance and removal.
Packaging Rules

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- 9 core units plus
- 9 elective units.
Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Quality Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. The electives are to be chosen as follows:
- 7 units must be from groups A, B, C, D, E or F, with all the units from at least one specialisation selected from the specialisations listed below
- the remaining 2 units may be selected from units listed in groups A, B, C, D, E or F or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
No more than 3 of the 9 electives selected can be coded with an AQF indicator below level 3 or reflect outcomes below AQF level 3.
Electives are to be packaged to provide a qualification with one or more specialisations as follows:
- All 3 electives from Group A must be selected for the award of the Certificate III in Arboriculture (Climbing Arborist)
- All 4 electives from Group B must be selected for the award of the Certificate III in Arboriculture (Crane Specialist)
- All 4 electives from Group C must be selected for the award of the Certificate III in Arboriculture (Elevated Work Platform – EWP Arborist)
- All 4 electives from Group D must be selected for the award of the Certificate III in Arboriculture (Environmental arborist)
- All 3 electives from Group E must be selected for the award of the Certificate III in Arboriculture (Works Coordinator)
- Electives from Group G can only be selected where required as a prerequisite.

Practical Skills Formation is an important part of your learning journey so we take you off site to apply your skills under the safe direction of your Trainer and Assessor. We limit 6 student per Trainer and Assessor to ensure you have quality skill instruction and essential one on one time to formulate your technique.

Equipment
We use the STIHL MS 261 C-M Professional Chainsaws as our chainsaw of choice for forming your skills from the STIHL SHOP in DANDENONG
We own our VERMEER BC700XL Wood Chipper to take onsite so that you can chip what you prune on the day! The BC700XL is the smallest machine in Vermeer's wood chipper line, the BC700XL design is based on operator feedback and focuses on productivity advantage and ease-of-use.
Theory Training Rooms
Our Theory Training Rooms are designed for comfort and easy access so that you can sit back and tune in to what the Trainers are guiding you through using our Projector along with each student receiving a copy of the Workbook so that you can easily keep track and follow along.
Our Training Room has access to DNA Trainings Student Wi-Fi so that you can go online in the Learner Portal to read through the digital Workbook at any time and complete your written assessments.

Our Trainers and Assessors will come to your business to train your staff on your selected courses which we can tailor to suit your industry. When we train your staff on your site you will have the benefits of minimising risk in the workplace and have the knowledge that your employees can act
